Introduction

Regulation (EC) No 2150/2002 of European Parliament and of the Council
Manual for the Implementation of Regulation (EC) No 2150/2002 on Waste Statistics
Europa Waste Management

The goal of this guideline is to assist countries in setting up reporting mechanisms in accordance with EU Waste Statistics Regulation which is the main reporting obligation for waste data in the EU. This guideline focuses primarily on the understanding of the aims of the regulation and on how to build up a system in order to fulfil reporting obligations.

This guideline collects the most relevant information available at different institutions in a comprehensive manner. The goal is to provide potential users a collection of relevant documents and information in order to directly access them from a single website (the guideline is a portal). The guideline is based mainly on the Manual for the Implementation of
Regulation (EC) No 2150/2002 on Waste Statistics.

More general information on waste and waste definitions can be found at the European Topic Centre. Overview of waste policies and legislation can be at DG Environment.
